BOTOX® and Dysport® are neurotoxins made from a purified form of the toxin that, when injected in small amounts, can temporarily paralyze or weaken targeted muscles, smoothing out wrinkles and fine lines on the face.

BOTOX® and Dysport® are most commonly used for cosmetic purposes to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on the face, particularly in the forehead, in between the eyebrows, and around the eye area. They can also be used for medical purposes to treat conditions like chronic migraines, excessive sweating, and muscle spasms.

BOTOX® and Dysport® is typically administered through a series of small injections directly into the targeted muscle or area of the face. The injections are typically quick and relatively painless, and there is little to no downtime or recovery period required after the procedure.

The effects of BOTOX® and Dysport® typically last for three to four months, after which the muscle activity gradually returns to normal and the wrinkles and fine lines may begin to reappear.

Like any medical procedure, BOTOX® or Dysport® do carry some risk of side effects. The most common side effects include swelling, redness, and bruising at the injection site, as well as temporary weakness or paralysis of nearby muscles. More serious side effects are rare.
